What is the difference between transferring contact details via Tap or a Scan?

Modified on Fri, 22 Sep 2023 at 09:36 AM

Both methods will share the exact contact details and have the same goal; however, they work differently.

Tap: This method is only compatible with smartphones with NFC capabilities as these phones are the only ones that can detect NFC devices (in this example, the chip on our card). When you tap your card on the phone, the content you've added to it, whether a Virtual Card or a Mini-Page, will be displayed on the prospect's phone.

Scan: This approach works for phones that lack NFC capability and require either a native or third-party QR Code reader app. Once the QR code is scanned, the phone will display the same content as previously indicated. QR Codes can also be shared via our platform on social media, email, or other methods.
