Margins are the invisible spaces around a component's and Digital Card's borders. Understanding this feature is important because it gives Digital Cards a smoother look. Initially, they may seem difficult to use, but they are user-friendly and provide great support when editing a Digital Card created using one of the templates.
You may have noticed that when you insert large text into some Digital Card templates, the text touches the Digital Card's border. This is where margins come in handy. Take a look at the following example:
There are two main components where we can change the margins to achieve better results: Textboxes and Containers.
- Select the module you want to change by clicking anywhere on it. To enter editing mode, click the pencil icon or double-click the component.
- Click on Style.
- Scroll down until you find the Margin section.
- Increase the left and right margins by the same amount to ensure the text is centered. (We recommend remembering this number to apply it to other textboxes for a more uniform look.)
Container Margins
Container margins are even more powerful because containers have the highest hierarchy in any Digital Card. Any changes made to container margins will affect everything inside them.
- Click on any area of the container you want to modify to select it. To enter editing mode, click the pencil icon or double-click the module.
- Click on Style.
- Scroll down until you find the Margin section.
- Increase the left and right margins by the same amount to ensure everything inside the container is centered. (We recommend remembering this number to apply it to other containers for a more uniform look.)
